Congratulations to Jiayu Zhao on successfully passing his PhD viva, subject to minor corrections.
The viva was examined by Dr Jeremy Singer (University of Glasgow) as the external examiner and Prof. Arshad Jhumka as the internal examiner.
Jiayu’s PhD research focused on Enhancing Bayesian Optimisation for Compiler Auto-tuning, contributing new techniques to improve the efficiency and robustness of Bayesian Optimisation in compiler optimisation problems.
